What is the Westfield Summer Program?
An award-winning mix of challenge and fun
Students can choose to focus on Debate or Model U.N. in one of our weekly summer classes. So that every student can be both supported and challenged, these classes will be divided into small learning groups based on age and experience.
For students looking for more intensive skill development, we are offering several three-day bootcamps from June 24-26:
Debate: ages 7 - 19, groups subdivided based on age and experience
Public Speaking and Leadership: ages 7 - 14, groups subdivided based on age
Advanced Debate : available by application only
Advanced Model U.N. : available by application only
Debate
Whether you’re a rookie debater or an experienced vet, our debate program’s signature mix of intensive skill development sessions and practice rounds will have you breaking down complex issues, making compelling points, and winning rounds in no time.
Weekly virtual debate classes are being offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays for both Summer Sessions. Different tracks are available to serve all ages and skill levels.
Three-day Debate bootcamp is being offered June 24-26 from 8:45 AM - 12:45 PM ET
Model U.N.
Our Model UN (MUN) program will focus on developing essential MUN skills including communication, strategy, research, consensus building and public speaking. Students will explore international relations by putting their ideas into practice in daily simulations.
MUN classes will be available on Tuesdays for both Summer Sessions for new and experienced MUNers
Advanced Programs
A version of our debate program designed for curious high-schoolers hungry for an extra challenge. These programs pair college-level topic seminars with intensive, fast-paced debate instruction. Students must apply to participate, and this program includes a unique track designed for the most elite debaters, though the program includes additional tracks appropriate for different experience levels.
