Westfield's International Public Policy Forum (IPPF) World Finals are unfortunately on the same day as CTMSDL! Therefore, Mrs. H. will be in Manhattan and will need parent volunteers to drive our debaters. For the return trip, parents can check in with their children by phone once they are on the road home for an ETA which will vary depending on what time the competition finishes. They sometimes run over.
Parents do not attend these competitions. You are warmly invited and encouraged to attend the State Middle School Policy Competition on April 25th.
Debaters may pack their lunches or buy tickets for pizza and drinks when they arrive. Pizza will be $2 per slice and bottles of water and lemonade will be $1 each.
Western business attire. Boys wear a jacket and tie; girls wear a skirt, pants or dress and a sweater or jacket. If you are in need of any article of clothing please let Ann know so she can put out a group email. We have been pretty good at coming up with clothing to share.
We are required to provide trained judges. Please let us know if you are interested in training to learn to be a judge. It's a lot of fun!
Indicate below if you are interested in either judging or training to learn. We will let you know if we need you once we know the number of participants.
The total cost including registration, participation, judging and coach expenses is $59.
