Julia Gillard

What will the new world order look like ten years from now? Where will the United States fit in?
This timely Forum conversation will dissect the many challenges facing leaders and diplomats in a rapidly changing world, including national security, trade and the economy, energy and the environment, immigration and human rights, nuclear tensions, shifting global powers and more.

CT Forum Complimentary Ticket Policies

Failure to comply with the following Westfield Policies will compromise the student's ability to attend future Forum events.

  1. By requesting a ticket, you are promising that your student will either be there or, if something comes up, that you will take on the responsibility to find another student to attend.

  2. These programs are geared for adults and there is no way to know beforehand exactly what will be discussed. Because the evening is meant for adults, please make sure your child understands and is willing and able to sit through a couple of hours of discussion.

  3. Westfield ticket recipients should always meet the assigned chaperone who will take the kids over to get the tickets.  Parents or children should never go alone to the desk to ask for tickets for Westfield.

  4. Please always read the emails we send you, with instructions, carefully.  This is an amazing  opportunity given us by The Forum organizers; allowing our children to attend these great events at no cost.  We need to always make sure we follow their procedure and never do anything to inadvertently compromise our ability to get future tickets.

  5. The Forum requires each recipient of a ticket to complete a survey after attending the Forum.  These surveys allow the Forum to continue to receive the funding that subsidizes these tickets. Westfield students who attend a Forum need to complete this survey within 3 days of attending the Forum and send an email to Admin@WestfieldAcademy.net letting us know that you have submitted it.

  6. There is no guarantee everyone who requests a ticket will receive one, as these programs are very popular. One week before the program, everyone who has signed up will be emailed either that they have received a ticket or been placed on a wait list.

  7. Unfortunately, Mrs. H. can't request tickets for adults; these tickets are for the debate students only. Any extra tickets will be opened up to siblings of debate students.

Day of the Event

Mrs. Connor (Claribel’s mom,) will meet all students at the Bushnell at 7:00 at the Box Office which is in the theater addition to the south of the main building (the normal gathering spot). If you have trouble finding Mrs. Connor, her cell is (617) 875-8323. Free parking is available across the street from the Bushnell. There are parking attendants to guide you. Parking and driving directions are here.

Once all students have arrived you will go together as a group to get the tickets so please do your best to not be late. The complimentary tickets must be picked up before 7:15 or they will be given away. At the ticket table, please all say, "Thank you" because they are extremely generous to Westfield. Many of the tickets they give us are worth $75 each.

Please remind your student that during the forum:

  • All phones should be off and unused during the event

  • Side conversations should be minimal to none

The Forum should end about 9:30. You can call the Bushnell and ask them if they can give you a definite ending time if you need one. Parents, please be there to pick up your children at the end of the Forum. You can meet them right outside the main doors on the steps.

Please sign up only if you agree with the above CT Forum Complimentary Ticket Policies
